 | Villa Grezellie (Ref. 0090) - MARQUAY We found this house was ideally situated, so close to many historic sights but so quiet in the evenings etc. It is two or three kilometres from the village of Marquay. There were a couple of problems with the heating and power cuts but these were attended to very quickly by the service agency. The kitchen was as described i.e very well equipped and there was plenty of room for the ten of us to sit and eat etc. The rooms were all tidy upon our arrival and the pool area was clean and tidy. The ensuites had showers generally, rather than baths but baths are available separately. We would definitely be happy to stay at this property again and would recommend it to those with older children (there aren't any swings etc.) It is a lovely house, well worth considering. |
| Grange de Mouzens (Ref. 0115) - Mouzens Une maison très agréable à vivre, dans laquelle on se sent bien. Au premier étage, une chambre bénéficie d'une jolie salle de bain privative. Sur l'avant de la maison, le jardin ombragé de beaux arbres apporte une agréable fraicheur. La piscine est très ensoleillée. | Chez Céline (Ref. 0104) - Saint-Cyprien UN PETIT PARADIS! Maison très spacieuse, chambre superbe pour les enfants, 2 grandes chambres pour les parents. Très calme, commerces à proximité. Terrasse ensoleillée le soir ou l'on peut diner et passer ses soirées. Piscine magnifique avec immense jardin ou peuvent s'éclater les enfants. Potager ou l'on peut ramasser de bonnes tomates. | Villa Grezellie (Ref. 0090) - MARQUAY Le 26 Août 2011 We have had a lovely weel at Grezellie. We particularly enjoyed the pool which was very refreshing during a particularly hot week. Sarlat is a great pleace to visit. The medieval houses and streets are beautiful. We also enjoyed visiting recuby caves and the "gouffre" at Padirac. La villa est exactement ce que nous avons espérés: spacieuse, propre, bien ésuipée, vraiment une recommandation! Et une vue magnifique! Nous avons bien profités de la masion et aussi de la piscine, qui nous a donné un grand plaisir, surtout pour nos deux enfants. | Volets Bleus (Ref. 0041) - Daglan We arrived in Daglan around 4pm and rang the number we were given to take collection of the keys and make an inspection of the property. Within 10 minutes a very nice Lady arrived and took us to the property and showed us around. The cottage is bright and clean and is well supplied with crockery and every type of cooking utensil you can imagine. There is a small courtyard out the back with a table and chairs and plenty of room for a bbq. The lounge is bright and open and quite spacious with a TV for watching videos and DVDs. The kitchen is fairly large and as previously stated well supplied with utensils. Upstairs is bright modern bathroom with a decent shower over the bath and plenty of hot water on demand. (Watch your head on the beams in the bathroom). The master bedroom is large and the bed comfortable, the other two rooms being of a reasobale size but we didn't bother with those as there was only the two of us. As you can see from the pictures the cottage is very nice, secreted down a cul-de-sac a short walk from the centre of the village and yet is near enough to the bar (1), Tea room (1) very nice and a very good Restaurant (1), excellent butcher, baker and small supermarket. There is also a weekly market on a Sunday in the village square which is small but excellent. Daglan is a stunning village and is very well maintained and is situated in the midst of some of the most beautiful countryside I have seen and is surrounded by many other small towns and villages which are well worth a visit. | Moncrabou la grange (Ref. 0024) - Castels La perfection, tout est présent pour passer un séjour plus qu'agréable et surtout inoubliable. Du matin au soir on apprécie la restauration de cette "grange" qui reste fraiche malgré les "grosses chaleurs" de ce mois d'août. | Tourondel (Ref. 0066) - Saint-Cyprien Alastair and I would like you to pass on our thanks to the owner for his kindness and friendliness shown to us on our recent holiday. A bottle of wine on arrival,fresh rasberries on the patio (...) The house was set in a wonderful elevated position with fantastic views over the beautiful French countryside,from first light in the morning until sunset the scenery was magnificent. The wooded hillside at the pool was also a fantastic habitat for the numerous butterflies,other insects and colourful birds which entertained us with their radiant colours and dashing flights. | Petite Jatinga (Ref. 0046) - Cadouin Just to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Petite Jatinga.The cottage is delightful and beautifully situated.We could not think of anything you had missed even down to putting your little library into alphabetical order by author's name.We thought the village of Cadouin was charming and loved the wonderful Monday evening market which arrived in the village square with eveything possible for eating and drinking and enjoyed joining in with the locals at the tables and chairs which filled the village square and even excellent musical entertainment in the form of a small band and female singer who entertained everyone until the early hours. As this was our first foray into 'Gite Life' we were delighted with everything about the cottage and found it difficult to leave when our time was up. Thank you for letting us stay at your cottage and I'm sure those coming after us will enjoy its beautiful presentation and situation and have a delightful holiday as we did.
